Erasmus Mundus scholarship
The Erasmus Mundus Programme provides EU-funded scholarships for third-country students and EU/EEA students who have applied to and been accepted by the Human Rights Policy and Practice master´s course. The programme offers around 15 scholarships per year.


What does the scholarship cover?

● The student grant covers the participation costs, a monthly allowance for living costs, and a contribution to travel and installation costs.

● Each grantee will receive EUR 1,000 each month for living costs during the 24-month duration of the programme.

The scholarship also includes a contribution to travel and installation and any other type of costs to be paid in two installments, as well as the Human Rights Policy and Practice participation costs including health insurance coverage for 24 months


Eligibility criteria

Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must hold a first degree (bachelor's) or equivalent from a recognized institution. This degree should typically be relevant to the field of study they are applying for.

● Minimum Academic Qualification: Some programs may have minimum academic grade requirements or request specific prerequisites depending on the discipline.

● Erasmus Mundus is open to applicants from all countries,

● Double Application for the Same Scholarship: You cannot apply for more than three Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degrees within the same academic year.

● Eligibility for Funding: Applicants cannot benefit from an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for more than one EMJMD program. If they have already benefited from an EMJMD scholarship in the past, they are ineligible for another.


How to Apply?

. Choose Your Erasmus Mundus Program

● Research Available Programs: Visit the official Erasmus Mundus website or the Erasmus+ catalog to explore the programs available for the upcoming academic year.

● Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the general eligibility criteria for the program (academic qualifications, language proficiency, etc.) and any program-specific requirements.

2. Required Documents

● Bachelor’s Degree Certificate: A certified copy of your bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

● Academic Transcripts: Certified copies of your academic transcripts showing grades from your undergraduate studies.

● Proof of Language Proficiency: If required, submit valid English language test scores (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL) or proof of proficiency in other languages as per the program’s requirements.

● Motivation Letter: A personal statement explaining your interest in the program and your academic and professional goals.

● Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional referees.

● Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed CV in Euro pass format, highlighting your education, work experience, skills, and achievements.

● Passport: A valid passport copy.

● Other Documents: Some programs may request additional documents, such as portfolios, research proposals, or work experience certificates.

3. Scholarship Application (Integrated with Program Application)

● Single Application for Both: Erasmus Mundus scholarships do not have a separate application form. When you apply for the Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree (EMJMD) program, you are automatically considered for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

● Indicate Interest: On the application form, you may be asked to indicate whether you want to be considered for the scholarship. Ensure that you check this box or provide the necessary information.

4. Submit the Application

submit the scholarship application form together with your programme application on the University Admissions website. When applying for an Erasmus Mundus program, you are automatically considered for the scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application form. Deadlines vary by program but typically fall between December and January for programs starting the following academic year (around September).

The next Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree (EMJMD) application cycle for the 2024-2025 academic year will likely open around October 2024. Most programs will have deadlines for scholarship applications between December 2024 and January 2025, depending on the specific program.
